Window Scrappage Scheme: up to £2,500 off your new windows

Scrap the draughty, misted or single-glazed windows you have been putting up with. Replace them with new windows from Apex Glazing and we take a scrappage allowance off your price.

Up to £2,500 depending on the number of windows replaced; ask for your price.

This is Apex Glazing's own offer. It is not a government scheme or grant.

Is it time?

Windows that are ready for scrap

You probably already know which windows in your house are past it. If any of these sound familiar, they are worth replacing, and the scrappage scheme helps with the cost.

Misting between the panes

Condensation trapped inside the glass means the seal has gone. Wiping it does nothing, because it is on the inside.

Draughts and rattles

A cold spot by the window or a sash that rattles in the wind is warm air leaving the room.

Single glazing

One pane of glass between you and the street means more cold, more noise and more condensation.

Sticking, swollen or rotten frames

Windows you have to force open, or that no longer close properly, are a daily nuisance.

Locks that no longer lock

Worn hinges and handles that will not catch leave the window loose in its frame.

Faded or tired frames

Yellowed, chalky or peeling frames date the whole front of the house.

The scrappage allowance

What you get

When you replace your old windows with new ones from us, we take a scrappage allowance off the price. How much depends on how many windows you replace. We work it out after a free survey, and your written quote shows the price you would actually pay.

There is nothing to apply for and no forms to send off. Ask for your scrappage price and we will do the rest.

  2. Free survey

We come and measure up, look at the openings and talk through the styles and colours that suit the house.

  3. Your written quote

You get a written quote with the scrappage allowance taken off. There is no obligation to go ahead.

Questions

Scrappage scheme FAQs

Is this a government window grant?

No. It is Apex Glazing's own scrappage scheme. It is not funded, approved or run by the government, a council or an energy company. The scrappage allowance is a reduction Apex Glazing takes off its own price when you replace your old windows with new windows from us.

How does the scrappage allowance work?

We survey your windows, work out the price of the new ones, and take the scrappage allowance off. The allowance is up to £2,500 depending on the number of windows replaced. Your written quote shows the price you would pay.

How many windows do I need to replace?

Tell us how many you are thinking of replacing and we will tell you what the scrappage allowance comes to for that number.

Is there government help with new windows?

Government energy schemes open, close and change, so check what is available on GOV.UK before you decide. Our scrappage scheme is separate from any of them.

Do I have to go ahead after the survey?

No. The survey and written quote are free and there is no obligation to go ahead.
