From first call to FENSA certificate, here is what happens and roughly how long each step takes. Fabrication lead time varies with the factory schedule and with the finish, so we confirm it in writing at order stage rather than promising it up front.

Cortizo publishes a whole-window U-value from 1.3 W/m²K for COR Vision Sliding, with a glazing thickness of 26 to 30mm. Approved Document L sets the limiting standard for a replacement door in an existing dwelling at 1.4 W/m²K, so the system is compliant. If you need to go lower, COR Vision Plus Sliding takes glazing from 36 to 56mm and is published from 0.9 W/m²K, at a 25mm central junction instead of 20mm.
Can COR Vision be installed with a recessed track?
Yes, the track can be set into the floor build-up so the threshold sits flush with the finished floor. This is the detail most architects ask for, and it has to be planned before the slab is poured, not after. We coordinate the floor build-up depth with the contractor at survey stage so the detail is still available when the doors arrive.
Is Cortizo COR Vision PAS 24 secure?
PAS 24 is available on COR Vision, and Cortizo publishes a passed PAS 24 security test across its sliding range. It needs to be specified and written on the quote rather than assumed. Cortizo does not publish an RC2 rating to BS EN 1627 for COR Vision; where RC2 is a stated requirement, Schüco publishes up to RC2 on the ASE 60 and up to RC3 on the ASE 80.HI.

COR Vision or APX20 Plus, which to choose?
They are different Cortizo systems, so start with your sash schedule. COR Vision Sliding gives the 20mm junction but is published to 2500 × 3000mm at 320kg with 26 to 30mm glazing and a U-value from 1.3 W/m²K. APX20 Plus is Apex's build of COR Vision Plus Sliding: a 25mm junction, but sashes to 4000 × 4000mm at 400kg by hand, glazing to 56mm and a U-value from 0.9 W/m²K. If any sash exceeds COR Vision's limits, the decision is already made.
