Why Apex for Cor Vision in London

Cor Vision is unforgiving. Flush thresholds, 320kg leaves, hidden tracks set into screed — fitting tolerances are millimetric. We've installed Cor Vision across Richmond, Twickenham, Chiswick, Putney and Kingston, and we run structural calculations in-house rather than subbing them out.

What we bringWhy it matters
Cortizo factory trainingTrack preparation, leaf adjustment and roller calibration handled to spec — no callbacks for sticking or misalignment.
In-house structural calculationsLintel sizing for 4-pane corners and 320kg leaves done by us, not the contractor's engineer — saves 2–3 weeks of back-and-forth.
CAD coordination with architectsWe take the architect's intent and translate it to fabrication-ready Cortizo CAD before order confirmation.
Floor build-up planningFor hidden-track installs, we coordinate the 90–120mm screed depth with the contractor pre-pour. Done after the slab is set, you've lost the detail.
FENSA self-certificationReg 40373 — Building Regs sign-off issued in your name within 28 days of completion. No separate building control application needed.
10-year frame guaranteeBacked by Cortizo and underwritten by Apex. 5 years on the sealed glass units.

Frequently asked

What is Cortizo Cor Vision?

Cortizo Cor Vision is a Spanish-engineered minimal-frame aluminium sliding door system. Its defining feature is a 20mm vertical interlock — the bar where two panes meet — making it the slimmest mainstream sliding door in the UK as of 2026. It supports panes up to 3000mm tall and 320kg per leaf, with a 1.3 W/m²K whole-door U-value double-glazed.

How much does Cortizo Cor Vision cost fitted in London?

Fitted Cortizo Cor Vision in London costs £5,500–£7,500 for a 2-pane (one fixed, one sliding), £7,200–£10,800 for a 3-pane, and £10,500–£14,000+ for a 4-pane corner. Prices include VAT, frame, double glazing, fitting, removal of the old door, and FENSA self-certification. Hidden floor-track adds £600–£1,200 per opening; triple glazing adds 20–25%.

What is the lead time for Cortizo Cor Vision?

Cortizo Cor Vision is manufactured in Spain to order. Lead time from approved CAD drawings to delivery is typically 6–8 weeks in 2026, with 2–3 days on site for installation depending on configuration. Apex Glazing handles survey, structural calculations, CAD sign-off, fabrication coordination and FENSA registration end-to-end.

What's the U-value of Cortizo Cor Vision?

Cortizo Cor Vision achieves 1.3 W/m²K whole-door U-value with double glazing (4/20/4 argon-filled with warm-edge spacers and soft-coat low-e), dropping to 0.9 W/m²K with triple glazing. Glass U-values are 1.0 (DG) and 0.6 (TG). The polyamide thermal break runs the full 70mm frame depth.

Can Cor Vision be installed with a hidden floor track?

Yes. Cor Vision supports a flush threshold detail where the bottom rail sits below finished floor level — the track is concealed in the screed. This is the architect's preferred detail for indoor-outdoor flow. Apex Glazing coordinates the floor build-up depth (typically 90–120mm) with the contractor before the slab pour to make this possible.

Is Cortizo Cor Vision PAS 24 secure?

Yes. Cor Vision carries PAS 24:2022 certification with multi-point hook locks, anti-lift devices and laminated security glass. It is approved for ground-floor and accessible openings under Approved Document Q. Cor Vision is not currently RC2-rated to EN 1627 — for RC2 specifications, the Schüco ASE 60 RC is the recommended alternative.

Is Apex Glazing a Cortizo authorised installer?

Apex Glazing is a Cortizo-trained installer working through Cortizo's UK fabrication network. Our fitters have completed factory training on Cor Vision installation tolerances, floor-track preparation and adjustment. We have completed Cor Vision installations across Richmond, Twickenham, Chiswick, Putney and Kingston, including 4-pane corner installations and pocket-slide configurations.

Cor Vision vs APX20 Plus — which to choose?

Both have 20mm interlocks and 1.3 W/m²K U-values. Cor Vision supports 3000mm pane height, 320kg per leaf and a hidden floor track; APX20 Plus tops out at 2700mm and 280kg. APX20 Plus is typically 15–20% cheaper fitted. For projects under 2700mm tall, both deliver the same look — APX20 Plus is the value choice. Above 2700mm or where a hidden track is specified, Cor Vision is the right answer.
