Schüco AS FD 75.
Fold the whole wall away and let the garden into the room. Up to seven leaves stack back on a single stainless steel track, running quietly on German engineered carriages, over a threshold you can walk straight across.
Fold It Away. Live Outside.
The AS FD 75 folds an entire opening back on itself and stacks the leaves clear, so the room and the garden become one space. A new roller carriage running on solid stainless steel tracks means even 150kg leaves glide quietly rather than rumble, while four drainage levels and a two gasket profile design keep British weather firmly outside. Thermally broken 75mm profiles hold U-values from 1.1 W/m²K, and every door is finished in any RAL colour you like.
German engineering, opened right up.
Surveyed, made to measure in any RAL colour and fitted by our own installers. Four reasons the AS FD 75 is the folding door we specify when the opening really matters.
Open the whole wall
Up to seven leaves across an opening of 10.5 metres, folding back and stacking clear of the reveal. Free configuration means the stack sits wherever suits the room, and a 90 degree corner option opens two elevations at once.
Runs quietly
New roller carriages run on solid stainless steel tracks, so heavy leaves glide rather than rumble. Adjustment profiles and a higher tolerance guide carrier keep the action smooth for years, not just on handover day.
Built to stay dry
Four drainage levels across two gasket profiles move water away fast, and there are no gaskets in the outer frame at all. Tested to E750 watertightness and Class 4 air permeability, with strengthened outer frame profiles.
Secure and warm
PAS 24 and RC2 burglar resistance with security glazing available. Thermally broken profiles deliver U-values from 1.1 W/m²K, and glazing up to 50mm lets you specify triple units or acoustic glass.

Technical
Built for performance
A 75mm basic depth thermally broken aluminium folding sliding system. The 41mm leaf frame gives a 90mm minimum face width with reduced glass edge cover and a 15mm glazing bead, or specify the 48mm leaf profile for a 104mm face, regular edge cover and a 22mm bead. Outer frame 71mm, mullions 90 to 104mm, meeting stiles 142 to 171mm. Glazing 8 to 50mm. Class 4 air permeability, E750 watertightness and wind load Class C3 or B5, with four drainage levels across two gasket profiles and no gaskets in the outer frame. Fittings carry corrosion protection Class 4 with durability proven to DIN EN 1191.
Configurations
Flexible design options
1 to 7 leaves on a single track in free configuration, so the stack sits left, right or split as the room demands, plus a Type 6 option that folds around a 90 degree corner. Three threshold heights, under 12.5mm, under 20mm and over 20mm, so a near level walk-through is possible. Roller carriages in aluminium, PVC-U or stainless steel on barrel hinge installation.
Finishes
Made to match your space
Any RAL colour, powder coated, anodised or painted, with dual colour options so the inside face can differ from the outside. Finishes are Cradle to Cradle certified and every door is CE marked. All of it carries the same 10-year guarantee.
Make it yours.

How long does installation take?
Most window installs are completed in 1-2 days. Doors typically take 1-3 days depending on threshold work. Full-house or multi-room replacements run 3-7 days. We give you a precise schedule at the survey stage so you can plan around it, no open-ended jobs.
Is the installation FENSA-registered, and do I get the certificate?
Yes. Apex Glazing is FENSA-registered (Reg 40373). On completion you receive a FENSA certificate, which satisfies Building Regulations Part L compliance and removes the need for separate council approval. Certificates are issued within 30 days and stored in your FENSA online account for future house sales.
What warranty do I get?
10-year manufacturer warranty on the product itself (frame, glass seal, hardware) plus a 12-month workmanship guarantee from us on the installation. We've been trading since 2005 with 6,340 completed projects and a 5.0-star Google rating, we'll come back if anything's not right.
Do you remove and dispose of the old windows or doors?
Yes, removal of existing units, safe disposal at a licensed waste facility, making good of internal and external reveals, and a thorough final clean-up are all included in the quoted price. There are no extras for skip hire, scaffolding, or waste removal.
Can you match existing windows for a phased replacement?
Yes. We can RAL colour-match the new frames to your existing units, replicate sightlines, glazing bar layouts, and hardware style to keep a phased replacement consistent. Bring photos to the survey, or we'll come and measure the existing windows so the new ones blend in seamlessly when fitted alongside.
