What are the Walton conservation areas actually called?
Walton (Church Street/Bridge Street), designated 11 November 1974, amended in 1983 and 1996 and extended on 10 April 2013; and Walton (Riverside), designated 1 December 1975 and extended on 10 April 2013. Hersham Village is a separate designation nearby. There is no "Walton Town Centre", "Mayfield" or "Ashley Park" conservation area.
Is Ashley Park protected?
Not by designation. Elmbridge's Walton companion guide calls Ashley Park "an area of high architectural quality", which is a character description rather than a conservation area. That means no additional planning control applies to windows there.
Do I need permission for new windows in KT12?
For a single family dwelling, normally not. Elmbridge has no Article 4 direction affecting windows anywhere in the borough - its only two directions are on land at Cobham and cover fences and temporary land use. Listed buildings and flats are the exceptions.
What does Elmbridge say about uPVC in Walton?
